Ice, ice baby...now snow...oh no!!!

This past week Jody was home from school due to a winter break.  The school picked the perfect time for it because we had ice on Sunday night into Monday morning.  Thank the Lord we kept our power, but some of our friends and family were not so fortunate.  Needless to say we had a pretty low key week as you can tell from the pictures!!  Sometimes it's nice just to unplug and be with the ones you love the most!! 

Tommy really has introduced a whole new element to our family life...to say the least!!!  Cats are funny!!!

As I end this blog post, I want to remember a Greer moment from last night.  Her & I were reading books before bed & there is this one book she has that is a search & find.  We were on the Beach scene page (oh how I wish we were there right now instead of this deep freeze) she finds the suncreen bottle.  "Momma we have to use sunSCREAM so we don't get STARburned"  Love these moments!! 

33 months

Our last two weeks have been pretty low key around here.  Just the way we like it!!!!  Any day that it is pretty out us girls get out to enjoy!!

Happy Valentine's day!!!  You loved the princesses Momma got you & Daddy brought you the sweetest little bear & card for his little princess!!  It was a beautiful 70 degree weather kinda day so we enjoyed it outside with your sidewalk chalk, bubbles & princesses :)  Later that afternoon Momma & Daddy got dolled up and went out on a date!!!  DATE...it has been awhile...maybe almost 3 years!!!  You stayed with Mam until Poppa got in from work. He took his two loves to your pick of choice which was...wait for it....Old McDonald!!!  Mam & Poppa said you ate that cheeseburger right up!!

 

Sweet girl you are growing up so fast!!  You learn something new everyday & say the most cutest things!!  You bring much joy to my heart!!!  You love unconditionally and have the most tender heart.  You are shy around people you don't see a lot.  You are a very good eater.  You love almost any fruit or vegetable.  You tried shrimp for the first time, but did not like it.  Think it might have been a texture thing?  You have started waking up in the middle of the night & coming to get in bed with Daddy & I.  It is a tight squeeze, but most nights.  I just don't care because you know what???  Before I know it you will be off to Kindergarten.  So anytime you will snuggle I will take baby doll!!!  You tell me you love me the mostest, but oh if you only know the depths of my love for you!!! To the moon and back baby girl!!

The Painted Pig

Today us girls' had a fun day PAINTING!!!  There is the neatest place in Little Rock called the Painted Pig.  You name it, they have it to paint & create!!  Each month they have what's called toddler storybook time and you can bring your child for a little a nothing and let them paint a piece of pottery.  We went back before Christmas and Greer made Mommy an ornament for our tree.  Today was a Valentine's theme!  Ms. Alli read them "llama llama I love you", they painted their heart plate and then got to snack on some juice and a yummy heart shaped cookie!!

Greer wanted to take a picture with her balloons :) We spent the rest of the day window shopping at a few of our favorite stores, lunch at Chick-fil- A, a HomeGoods stop & then these girls hit the road back to home!! 

Celebrating Mam's birthday

Last week we celebrated Mam's birthday.  I made King Ranch casserole, a salad & a cookie cake!  We ate, watched the Razorback game and played a little hide & seek :) 

Best job there is....licking the spoon!!  Especially if it's cookie dough :)

I turned 36 a few weeks ago.  The week leading up to my birthday on Friday was full of sickness & doctor visits.  So I was so thankful that on Friday, my acutal birthday everyone was feeling better and on the way back to normalcy!!  Greer and I had woke up with flu on Monday and then my sweet baby's turned into the croup by Thursday :(

But Mom saved the week with some cute decorations, pizza, my favorite cake & ice cream...it was all so yummy!!!

Greer & Jody got me beautiful flowers!!!  Mom & Dad got me the cutest fur vest, a new clarisonic & memory card.

I am a very blessed lady at 36 years.  Sure I have some wrinkles I didn't have last year and extra pounds I wish was gone, but I am so thankful to my Lord and Savior I am healthy, my family is healthy, I'm surrounded by the people I love the most and a Jesus who loves me!!! Blessed beyond measure!!!

32 months

My precious baby girl, where has the time gone????  You are growing up so fast.  You are 32 months old or as you will tell anyone who asks " I am 2 1/2!!" Such a cutie!!  Right now you love to watch Sophia the First, play with Tommy, you enjoy being outside at your sandbox/swingset on pretty days, playing with Barbies, working puzzles, drawing on your chalkboard, and painting.  Some of your favorite foods are: bananas, cuties, blueberries, cheese dip, spaghetti, yogurt & chocolate milk (@ mam's) :)  You are such a bright, smart & beautiful soul!!  You have learned your first memory verse..."Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.  Acts 16:31"  Melts my heart!!!  I hope you always have a heart that seeks after Jesus my sweet girl!! 

You say some of the cutest things..."Mommy, did you get your toncats put it?", "Mommy, you're supposed to put the milk in my mouth before you ask Jesus to bless it", "love you too"!!!
