Kindergarten ROCKS!!!
I can not believe we have been in school for four weeks!!! And are well on on our way into September!! I am dreaming of all things pumpkin spiced, cute booties and comfy sweatshirts:) #ilovefall
So let me get to business on updating everyone with Greer and all things SCHOOL :) WELL... Greer absolutely LOVES it!!! She tells us it's not long enough!!! Loves having Daddy time on the ride to and from. Recess time is her favorite as well as lunch and we hear "Brielle" a lot ;) Fun Fridays she calls them are a hit!! Apparently Mrs. Pickett is just the next best thing to a jar of a Nutella and Mondays are for Music. So basically she is rocking this Kindergarten thing!!
I knew from the night of open house God had prepared the way for her to have an awesome start!!
We met up with Daddy, so he could escort his princess.
We joined the countless other parents, children and teachers in the gym for a warm welcome from Mrs. Byrne, principal and then we were off to find Greer's classroom!! She walked in and owned the place! And as any of you that know Greer, know that is not her. She normally has to take everything in and then decides she will "wade in". Not this night...she had places to go and friends to meet!!
Could not love them more...nope...just couldn't!!
Mrs. Pickett you are an answer to this Mama's prayers since day one!!
All smiles for back to school!!
Me and my girl
l
Mrs. Byrne may have an assistant to help her this year??
So Open House was a success, but there was one more matter of business we had to take care of before classes began....the official back to school hair cut!!!
I wasn't sure I was ready for this, but Greer was so we went with it!!
And oh how precious it is!!!
Perfect for the life of a busy kindergartner!!!
Thanks Nen Nen...we love you bunches!!!
To savor every ounce of sweetness Summer could offer us before that Monday, Poppa treated us to snow cones!!!
How did you go from baby to my kindergartner over night??
I promise I just blinked;(
Here she is all ready to rock her first day of Kindergarten on Monday!!!
Greer really has the perks...a personal escort every morning;)
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday...we made it!!!
Mama has perks too...friends that teach K right across the hall from Greer send me sweet pictures of my girl with her friends!! Bethy boo...I love you!!!
We helped Ali celebrate #7 at her pool party that week too!!
By the 2nd week Mam and I were going crazy, we had to get up to that school and see what all the fun was about. We made the excuse we were going to volunteer, but I'm not sure how much of that we did because we found these two cuties headed for lunch so we joined them:)
Our family has found a new normal. Why did I ever doubt that we would?? God had it from day one!! It has been pure joy to my heart to watch Greer form friendships, become more independent and have an eagerness to learn all things new!!! Some days, yes my heart wants to cry when I think about all the time we shared just her and I. But that's just it...I got to be present for EVERYTHING!!!! So how can I be sad when God has blessed me with a front-row seat to watch her beautiful life unfold. I just can't. And the fact she tells her Daddy and I, "I never want to have a boyfriend or a husband. I want to live with you forever!!" Thankful. Grateful. Blessed:)

Super Summer
Summer 2017 was bittersweet for us, or me!! I had Greer starting school constantly in the back of my mind! Excited, worried or sad...it was happening and I was determined we were going to pack all the fun we could into our summer!!
Days spent at home playing Barbies are some of our favorites ones!!! But so are the days we get invites to sweet little friends birthday parties and you get to dress up in your favorite princess gown!!
I just couldn't resist...I mean the hair (that is gone now), elbow propped up on Poppa and just the simple fact that we get to worship Jesus every Sunday together, our little tribe!! Reason enough to have your phone out in church, wouldn't ya say??!!
When Haven and Jep have a swim party to celebrate turning 4...reason enough to make a road trip to Hope!!!
Sometimes Mondays are for business, but stops at the bank are always a win win!! Aunt Sheena and Peppermints!!
Eureka Springs and Beaver Lake were a quick get-a-way for Jody and I to celebrate our 18th anniversary!! Not sure Jody was sold on our first stop for lunch at Oscars, but I thought it was neat little local place with a sweet little vibe to it!!
After a late lunch and a stroll downtown Eureka Springs, we headed to check in to our cottage on Beaver Lake!!
Dinner at Local Flavor Downtown!! Highly recommend!! We had a seat right by a window where a little waterfall came out.
t
But 48 hours was long enough to be away from this cuddle bug!!
Saturday porch rocking is always a hightlight!!
Our annual Little Rock trip is always fun!!
First stop was David's Burgers and Museum of Discovery!!
We went last year and Greer loved but was a little young for some exhibits, but this year we roamed...
and explored!! Meet Rose, a blue-tongued lizard:)
Up she goes...
Hands down her favorite place in the whole museum is in the Room to Grow. Greer loves to play vet to all the animals!!
Home Sweet Home
Three hours in Altitudes will wear a Mama out!!!
Flying Fish for fish tacos!! "Yes sir" I'll be your date!!
We usually head home after a couple days, but Daddy had to stay an extra day for meetings, so we had an afternoon of him all to ourselves!! He took us to Chuck E Cheez for some pizza and fun!!
Then out for some back-to-school shopping and a Chuy's PUSH UP!!
Unicorn Slime!!!
They called "let's go play putt-putt golf and eat ice cream"...
WE'RE THERE!!
Water loves Greer and Kinley;)
Strategy is the key!!
#framer
What I'd tell ya???
And this little stud...I'm thinking he needs to come stay with Aunt Paige until it's time for him to start K!!
Cowart crazies at their finest;)
#brakecheck
Goofies!
Speed demon!!
Orange Leaf
Back to School Splash with our church family!
So that was our July-through mid August recap!! Stay tuned for "Greer goes to Kindergarten"!!! We have made it a week and she is in love with school..and me, well I'm adjusting and keeping myself busy by catching up on my to-do list!!!
