It Is Well

The beginning of 2019 came and with it came sorrow as we had to say our earthly good byes to our beloved Granny.  We were all immensely blessed to have been loved by her and be one of her yungins, as she so lovingly liked to refer to us all.  

 

Granny was one of a kind!!  She was quite the poet, cook, seamtress, and loved to sing hymns.  Thank you God for the blessing of her in my life!!

Joy finally came as God filled in the gaps with grace and mercies new each morning!!  What a comfort to know we have a place prepared for us more beautiful than these mountains that Kara and I hiked in honor of my #40 birthday!!

January 16th rolled around and here I am....#40!!  Thankful, grateful and blessed!!

 We hiked Pinnacle Mountain and then celebrated with Diet Cokes and David's Burger fries!!

I'm not sure how I got so lucky to win my bestie, but she's the icing on all my cupcakes!!

No birthday is complete in our family without cake, dinner and celebrations!!  So later that night I got spoiled again!!  

Y'all this hunky is like my favorite person in the world!!

Mama gets it done!!  She alwasy makes it special!  Chicken lasagna, salad and cupcakes were delish!!

Later in the month it was check up time on the peepers!!  Everything looks great!!

Greer's first school project was a dinosaur diorama!!  This girl nailed it!!

Of course it wouldn't be winter without our occasional case of Strep throat :(  So doctor office selfies to pass the waiting game.
